Veggie Time
It's time, our time, oh yeah
It’s time, go time
We’ve been growing them for millennia
Pretty convenient – getting nutrition from the ground
But it can be tough to get ‘em into you
Like when you’re out rushing around
Regardless, their place is undeniable
Dig around enough, you’ll unearth it
The benefits are real and reliable
More and more can attest that they’re worth it
The work to grow each seed and row
The time to know and savor the subtle flavors oh
For young and old made hot or cold red, green, and gold
They’re vegetables
Facing foodstuffs processed in factories
And designed to rewire appetites
They carefully blend the sugar, salt, or grease,
And offer us short-lived flavor delights
But now you’ve seen the shallow prize
The bubble’s gone – you’ve burst it
You can eat for more rewarding lives
You add vegetables – it’s worth it
Use them any way you like:
Steamed, cold, perhaps stir-fried
Alone or mixed in it’s alright
At any meal or snack
The best foods love us back
And show us what shared health attracts
Bet it’s worth it
Alright, let’s bring it down
I think you know what time it is
This is how we do it in my house
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(It’s veggie time!)
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(It’s veggie time!)
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(It’s veggie time!)
I’d like some vegetables
(You know it’s always veggie time!)
Nice
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(What, now?)
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(I can dig it)
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(They are good)
I’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(It’s veggie time!)
Nice
We’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(Word)
We’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(Alright)
We’d like some vegetables, more vegetables please
(Save some for me)
We’d like some vegetables
(you know it’s always veggie time!)
Nice!
